31/03/2008, Bahrain - Royal & SunAlliance (R&SA) Insurance has announced the appointment of Mark Cooper as the CEO for KSA and Bahrain operations, effective 1st March 2008. Mark Cooper will be reporting to Pat O’ Flynn, CEO, Middle East and will be based in Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia. Prior to this, Mark was the Sales & Marketing Director for the R&SA UAE operations.

Mark brings 13 years of experience in the Insurance industry, all of which have been with R&SA. The last 6 years have been spent in Middle East where Mark has held a variety of roles that have included Branch Manager for Eastern Province, Saudi Arabia, as well as Business Process & Re-engineering Manager for R&SA Middle East operations.

Mark Cooper, at the GAIF conference in Bahrain, said, “I’m delighted to be leading an excellent team both in Saudi Arabia and Bahrain which I believe is well positioned to capitalise on the significant opportunities across both markets. However, we will continue to invest substantially in these markets, especially in Saudi Arabia where we are in the final stages of our IPO listing.”
