Royal & Sun Alliance Insurance Group plc appoints Non-Executive Director

02/04/2008 - Johanna Waterous has been appointed, subject to Regulatory approval, as a Non-Executive Director of Royal & Sun Alliance Insurance Group plc with effect from 20th May 2008.

Johanna has had over 20 years experience with McKinsey & Company retiring in 2007. Her roles included Co-leader, Global Marketing and Sales Practice from 2005-2007 and Director and Leader of their Consumer Practice Unit and the European Retail Practice from 1998-2005. She was made partner in 1991 having joined the firm as a consultant in 1985.

She is currently a specialist advisor to Marks & Spencer plc and Candover Partners and an Executive Investor with Tri-Artisan Partners, a privately led merchant bank. She has previous Board experience as Chairman of the Healing Foundation, the UK charity funding research into surgical and psychological support for people with severe disfigurement and functional loss.

She holds a BSc, Chemistry and Mathematics, University of Western Ontario and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
